⭐ How to Play Articulation Tic Tac Toe

These games follow the familiar rules of Tic Tac Toe, with speech sound practice built into every turn.

1. Print the required game board and provide counters or pens.
2. Players take turns choosing a picture on the board.
3. Before claiming the square, the player practises saying the target word three times.
4. Once the word has been practised, the player marks the square with an X or O, or covers it with a counter.
5. The first player to claim three squares in a row — horizontally, vertically or diagonally — wins!

You can adjust the number of repetitions and the level of support according to each child’s speech sound skills.

For children ready for more challenging practice, you can encourage them to use the target words in short phrases or sentences.
