⭐️ About these themed Spatial Concepts resources:

The following prepositions are targeted in these resources: in, on, under, behind, in front, next to, between, above.

The activities included within these resources are intentionally repetitive; they have been designed in a way that provides students with multiple opportunities to hear and use the target prepositions (in single words and phrases).

Designed with research in mind.

The images included in these resources are intentionally repetitive. The main themed item is always the subject. The other objects have been kept consistent throughout each resource, so students can focus more on learning and using the prepositions, than the objects themselves. Research by Nicholas et al, (2019) suggests that too much variability of objects and labels can be overwhelming when teaching prepositions. So the same objects have been used throughout. You can choose to further limit the amount of objects for some of the activities (such as when using the stimulus cards or the clip cards), if required.
